And with the portal nowadays, the initial signing means very little. Had our staff established bonds, and things didn't go as planned for him at Bama, we could've been a potential transfer destination. 

Regardless, you're missing the entire point, again. Whether or not we would have out-recruited Saban has nothing to do with it. It's the fact that we didn't even make an effort.
