WR Spencer Tears [Northern Illinois Commit]

Nate Clouse talked about it a little today...pretty much said the decision was mutual. Stringfellow addition and CJ emerging are couple reasons. Also some chatter that he was very unimpressive at Rivals camp in Chicago.

Clouse talking about Rivals Camp: He wasn't the most competitive guy out there, wasn't fighting for reps or embracing competition. "Raised a red flag".

I could be completely off base, but wasn't Tears the one a few weeks ago that tweeted that he hates to be lied to? Like I said it could have been something completely different but make me wonder now.

I think this was a good move for both parties.

Agreed. I'm no recruiting guru, but I think that CJ is a better prospect right now than Tears. Good luck to both of them, though. Hopefully CJ follows his dad's footsteps.
