QB Coach...???

Need to get Vince Marrow on the staff as well.
This
I'm pretty sure that Marrow is on staff now. Last year he was a GA but I think he is the TE coach.
False, he is a GA still. http://www.huskers.c...TCLID=205214023
I stand corrected, thank you. Then I agree, we need Marrow on staff more than we need Ganz. I like Ganz a lot, but Marrow has a lot of "ins" with recruiting in the Ohio area.

I guess i just like what we have now, if Ganz becomes good enough I dont see any reason why they might not up his role...I am sure he feels pretty respected and gets alot of credit as is...but if he continues to do a good job then those things will come for him, just as alot of the coaches before him..

That's fine. But, then you have to get rid of someone.

which sucks, because I have a feeling Ganz has probably had a greater impact on the growth of Taylor than Beck.
and you're basing this on seeing ganz talk to taylor on the sidelines on tv... while beck is up in the skybox. gotcha. hell... let's make ganz the head coach. smh

That's not really a stretch. No doubt Beck is coaching him up, but his responsibilities are spread out over the entire offense.

Ganz's job is just coaching Taylor Martinez - among doing all the other GA grunt work when the players aren't around.

Having any coach in your ear as much as Ganz is in Taylor's ear in not insignificant.

Side note. This is year 1 for Joey G. as GA right? That means he's only got one more year of eligibility as a GA. (2 year max) There is some sort of loophole for a 3rd year based on credits... but not sure how common that is.

I think the normal thing is you're a GA for a couple years, and after your time is up if your boss (Bo) doesn't have an opening for you, he tries to get you a job on someones else's full-time staff.

Not sure where anyone is giving Beck credit for Martinez's development - I'm pretty sure most people realize that it was Steve Calhoun, who Martinez spent a chunk of summer with, that helped him develop, not Beck....or Ganz.
