Not one B1G in Top 25 (BCS)

Is Penn State actually one of the three top Big 10 teams? I find that extremely hard to believe.
How? Basically the same defense and coaching staff from last year, except for two I will not name, since it still makes me want to vomit.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. The 2 losses at the beginning of their season, surprised me more than anything.

PSU loss to a ohio team (now 7-0) in their very first game with new coaches, and without their star running back. Loss to Virginia by 1 point. If you look at their schedule, i only see one loss (osu) - outside of the game against us. If they beat us, they can easily end the season 9-3 and could be ranked in the 15-25 range.

We are the 4th best team, imo. Had Wisky not lost their offensive staff and Mich Lite found a decent QB, we could even be the 7th best team in the league right now. If we start playing to our full potential all game, every game - we could be one of the top 2, if not the best. Sadly we cant put together a full game, let alone every game.

They can't be ranked in the BCS nor be bowl eligable due to the sanctions.

I am going to take a wild guess, that you mean Mich State. Maxwell is actually a good QB, he just doesn't have the talent that Cousins had around him like last year. That is also why Bell isn't putting up numbers he had last year as well. When your one dimentional, it hurts you tremendously. I would love to know the other 6 teams you think is better than NU. I think we have the best offense in the conference and if our Oline would be consistant, we could have won the two games we lost. No protection, means we can not take advantage of the weak secondary tOSU has. Their Dline man handled us, and came unblocked many times, yet we still put up a lot of points. Defense needs improvement, and a lot of it.

OSU and PSU are the two tops in the B1G right now, and I would put my money on PSU over OSU any day of the week.

I don't really follow Penn State, but didn't they have some players transfer?
They did, but their defense didn't really lose anyone. It was their offense that took the biggest hit, IE: Redd to USC. Most of the defense are Seniors, and you don't want to lose more than you already have, so they stuck together to fight the adversity that came with the sanctions and the media.

Hats off to PSU for fighting through that ordeal and sticking together. That is one team who is playing with pure passion and heart.

Really? Personally, I think UM would beat PSU pretty easily and after seeing OSU's D the past few weeks I'm starting to feel much better about that game as well.

Really? Because the only two teams you have faced with decent to great defense has completely shut down your offense. If you don't think PSU has a better defense than ND or close to, you must not be watching much football. PSU also has a better offense than you have faced besides Alabama.

Besides, you misread and analized my comment completely wrong, as I stated RIGHT NOW, they are the best, look it up. OSU ranks higher than Michigan and is undefeated, as PSU is the only undefeated in their division and have won out since their loss in their second game.

This has potential to be so much worse. The selection committee is probably going to pick 3 SEC schools every year. I loathe the idea of a selection committee.

BCS is a joke. Not one B1G team in the top 10. Completely biased if you ask me. Michigan I expected to be in the top 25 for the fact they have only lost 2 games, which are both in the top 5 ranking. Texas, getting DESTROYED by OU and getting beat by WV still there. Look familiar? You can't honestly tell me Michigan doesn't belong in the top 25.

1. Alabama

2. Florida

3. Oregon

4. Kansas State

5. Notre Dame

6. LSU

7. South Carolina

8. Oregon State

9. Oklahoma

10. USC

11. Georgia

12. Mississippi State

13. West Virginia

14. Florida State

15. Rutgers

16. Louisville

17. Texas Tech

18. Texas A&M

19. Clemson

20. Stanford

21. Cincinnati

22. Boise State

23. TCU

24. Iowa State

25. Texas
Texas Tech lower than West Virginia after beating them like a 'red headed step child' simply adds one more piece of evidence to the argument that the BCS is a jokk of olympic porportions.

Virginia is horrible. They beat an FCS team, and after beating Penn St, have lost 5 straight.

PPG: UA is #1, ND is #2. PSU is no slouch at #17, but give me a break. Look who PSU has played so far. They have lost twice. That should be answer enough to this question.

I agree with you. Michigan is better than Penn State. We'll have to see it on the field for me to be convinced. I think even we beat Penn State. Given the games, I'm a lot more concerned about Michigan than I am about Penn State. However, I've been known to overlook openants such as UCLA.

I don't think that they can do that. IF I am correct, they will have to win their CCG to get into the playoffs. But of course I could have read that somewhere and it wasn't official yet.
You are not correct. There will be some weighting or special consideration given to conference champions, but it's not a requirement to get in.

The committee will consider win-loss record, strength of schedule, head-to-head results and whether a team is a conference champion.

I don't understand your theory here. Michigan is on average 10 PPG against a good defense.... PSU lost their first two games, one of those teams still being undefeated, and the other one a below subpar team, but your also talking about a team that didn't even believe in themselves and were in the middle of fighting with diversity. Since those two games, they have also went undefeated, and beat a very good Northwestern team, which is a tougher opponent than any team Michigan has won. Defense for Defense, PSU is better than Michigan, and they found a stride and new passion for football, which has caused them to learn how to work together and score points. You stop Robinson's run game. then what? There goes 80% of Michigan's offense. Don't believe me, go look at your own stats. It would be a good game, but I would put PSU over Michigan and OSU. You stop PSU with a good secondary, something both teams lack a lot of.
