I thought it was great that Blatch got some significant time against Michigan! Justin's hometown of Ponca has been dealing with a tragedy the last couple weeks. Maybe gave them something to smile about!

Nominate Broganreynik! For bashing hardworking walkons!
I nominate RedRedJarvisRedwhine for blowing sh#t out of proportion, after taking what I said as a diss towards Blatchford. As I was actually saying it was depressing that Cooper can't put it all together to take over the spot.
Should spell it out how its meant to be interpreted! Backtrack much!
Either way, it wasn't something to get that worked up over. I didn't realize that not saying everything explicitly would result in someone throwing a hissy fit.
Youve probably never had to work hard for anything in your life! If you had you would have a better appreciation for those that sacrifice $cholarships at smaller schools so that they could play for their favorite team! If you think I'm throwing a hissy fit, it's because my family knows the Blatchfords personally! And if you knew the kid or have ever watched him play, you'd know he embodies everything the proud walkon tradition at NU stands for! Instead you get all butthurt over the kid busting his a$$ in a very important game at a very important time! And why? Cause he was messing up? No! You were pissed cause he was in the game at all! Seems to me he has proven himself worthy of playing time and thankfully you don't have the final word on players of substance! I hope that "depressed" feeling you got when you saw Justin in the game has subsided! Hope if your kid ever walks on to play at his dream school, he never has to encounter fans like you!
I double dog dare you to compose a sentence without an exclamation mark.

Pull your head out of your a$$. I was in a god damn thread about COREY COOPER. I made a statement about COREY COOPER. If you think I meant something different, then I guess you know me better than I do. And somehow, you think I haven't seen Blatchford play?!? I've only missed parts of 3 games since 1993... I've seen him play.

I know the heart that he puts into the program. Like most of the walk-ons do. The fact that he earned a scholarship speaks volumes of the guy's dedication, heart, knowledge, and skill on the football field. I'm not going to be one that says "OH MY GOD! THE COACHING STAFF WHO HAS BEEN WITH HIM ALMOST FIVE YEARS KNOWS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT HIM! WHY WOULD THEY GIVE HIM A SCHOLARSHIP! WHY WOULD THEY LET HIM PLAY!"

Take a damn step back and look at what I said objectively, and you'll realize you're making a huge deal out of something that isn't even the case. If I said something, and someone gets on my case about what I actually meant, then I'll own up to it. I, however, don't appreciate all this ridiculous crap thrown around for stuff that I didn't even say.

Given your relationship with the guy, I can understand how you'd take offense to that statement, the way you took it. But once I explained how I meant it, just accept it. Don't go off on me, like you know what I meant and I don't. To be fair, I can see how you could take it either way, in a vacuum. But it was a thread ABOUT Corey Cooper.

And yes, because I'm upset that Corey Cooper hasn't put it together (or as you see it, upset that Justin Blatchford is playing over Cooper.*) that means I have no work ethic. I've lived with a silver spoon up my a$$, and get everything I want just by asking for it. Because that's a totally logical assumption to make.

* - Blatchford plays over Cooper for a reason. He obviously shows stuff in practice and film that makes him a better option in the coaches eyes. Why would I have a problem with someone earning a spot on the field? Blatchford has done nothing to me. He's done nothing to make me hate him. If he earns a spot good. I just had a lot of hopes for Corey Cooper, and would've liked to see him contributing more by now. Hence... I'm depressed.

Nice job revealing the only reason why you bothered to give a sh#t.

You don't care about "hard working walk-ons". You just happen to know the Blatchfords.
