Douschebag Hall of Fame

When I saw that thread go up, I was gonna try to ignore it. I'm not very good at that. bullsh#t like that really pisses me off. And it is comforting to know that with an attendance of 85,000+ next week, we will probably not witness one single act that would do anything to associate this Penn St team with that situation.
I guess I'm less sensitive to comments like that than most people. It didn't bother me, but I can understand how it would upset someone.
My point is that it's just a such a sore subject added to the fact that it's over with and EVERYONE should be passed it outside the ones directly involved. Justice has been served, sanctions enforced, and there's no reason whatsoever to classify any member or fan of this Penn St. fooball team with that awful situation. That's my take.
There is a reason, and it's because it happened there. Penn State will never again be out of the shadow of the disgusting crap that went on there, whether everyone who was responsible is gone or not.
No. There isnt. These players and coaches had nothing to do with it. Yes, it is logical, and truthful, to say that Penn St will never be out of the shadow of the situation. But these guys who are playing football dont need to be showing up at a stadium and seeing Sandusky signs and kids dressed in prison clothes, etc. Those are classless acts of idiocy and show zero respect and zero knowledge of what is going on. In other words. Leave'em be. As said. Justice has been served. Sanctions have been enforced. It's done. Get over it.

Exactly. The last thing that a healing community needs to see is reminders of what happened at their school. They know just as well, if not more than we do, what happened. At the same time, it was nothing they could control; everyone who had any relation to that incident has been removed from the school. Everyone who is serving the punishment is guilty of nothing other than attending the school.

And while I can't disagree with the punishment, regardless of it hurting innocent players and coaches, I can say that if there are people showing up to the game on Saturday mocking the whole Sandusky scandal, I will lose complete respect for them.

I dont think that anything like that will be allowed. If they were making people with "f#*k texas" and even the "tuck fexas" shirts turn them inside out before entering, and I even witnessed a couple cases of security doing it at the tunnels, then you can bet the farm nothing of that nature will be tolerated here. We hold ourselves to a higher standard. And that's the way I like it. But i cant imagine anyone associated with our program would do such a thing anyway.

As someone who lived through the Christian Peter/Lawrence Phillips years and all the black eyes those two (and others) gave our program, I can pretty easily say this is incorrect. People won't forget that the Sandusky scandal happened at Penn State. But Penn State, their players and their fans won't (and shouldn't) be saddled with the burden of that horror forever. It should fade quickly, not long after their sanctions are over.

Not one player on that team had anything to do with what happened there. Holding them accountable for the wrongs of others would be a travesty.

I know that their fans and players won't be saddled with that burden, but you have to think that from now on, whenever someone brings up Penn State football, you know that the first thing that most of the people around the country will have pop into their heads is what went down with JoePa and Sandusky. It's just how it is.

For the moment, sure, just like the first thing that people thought of about Nebraska was Lawrence Phillips. But that fades. Penn State isn't tarnished forever.

Did someone here actually suggest that our fans do that?

If so, that's total bullsh#t. I can laugh at a good joke as much as anybody else can, but anybody who would suggest something like that needs a few lessons in not being a classless douche.

No it was never suggested. But I'm still hoping it doesnt. It scares me that one drunk asshat can ruin a rep for everyone. But I'm also confident that there wont be any issues.

It did happen at Iowa. Some guys dressed in prison clothes-about 6 of em-with "Sandusky" on the back. Someone associated with Iowa also printed the shirts "I'd rather shower at Penn St than cheer for Nebraska". That's ridiculous.

And nobody blames all of Iowa for one drunken asshat. This is just nonsense. There are douchebags everywhere. We're not immune, but a few douchebags among a throng of good fans doesn't ruin the reputation of all those great fans.

Nominate rationalfan.
We booted his a$$.

skersfan for this:

We actually won the game, went out and took it from the start. No luck, no refs deciding the game. Congrats Huskers you needed that after the last few games.
I've grown very weary of his bullsh#t over the past couple of years. He posts the exact same dribble just about every week. I'm tired of hearing about his f'ing whiny a$$ wife that doesn't like Bo. He basically took our last four wins away from our players that played their f'ing ASSES OFF to come back and win. I'm sure I'll catch some flack for this, but I don't f'ing care. His shtick has grown old.

You missed one knapp. Please boot this whiner from the board.

I guess I'll be the one to nominate, once again i'm sure but justly deserved, Desmond Howard and the Bobble heads that are espn. There are two sides to every story. Congrats for sweeping one under the rug that refutes your agenda.

Nominate Fowler and HNN for that dumpster fire of a fight. Youre my boy Fowler, but I expected you to put that scrub in his place.
