I am so sick and tired of these short 3rd downs and we pass. We did it under Watson and I hated it. Sadly it still continues with Beck. Most of his offense is pretty decent, but when it comes to lining up and just smashing down their throats on a short 3rd & 3....he has to go all cute and pass. Not only is it an incomplete pass and no first down...it also stops the clock. I simply don't get it.

It doesn't matter because when we run on 3rd and 1 and don't get it people still complain

I complain anytime NU doesn't convert

I'll give you credit, you have a very good point here. I just think in that situation with the lead we should run the ball. Even if we don't get it, at least the clock would continue to run.
