I agree with you. Have always been a Pontiac fan in general. The G8 is/was a beautiful vehicle. I am personally a fan of the 04-06 GTO. The styling as you mentioned is a Holden Monaro from down under. They completely abandoned all of the GTO's lines etc.

But I do hate the fact that Pontiac was canned

 
Exactly! Ford and G.M done a great job with their reproductions even Mopar done a great job with the challenger. Pontiac should of re-engineered and came out with a Retro upgrade of the 68 goat. Crying shame that Pontiac was axed.

I do drive a 2004 GTO though so I can't complain too much lol I just like the 5.7 under the hood in a car that doesn't look like it should have that kind of engine hiding. Took me a long time to find the goat too. Ended up in Aberdeen SD. Flawless body with only 38k on it.

Eventually she will be parked next to a 68 :-)

Gotta 95 red Z71 with a 383 stroker that'll walk a hemi like she's standing still. Sporting husker paraphenalia and representing in Phoenix.

Strokers are kick a$$. Use one for my derby motor. 10.5:1 compression stroker. For my 4x4 truck, I just have your standard 87 chevy half ton with a HP 350, and lockers in both differentials. No gettin stuck there.

Hear ya. Got the Z71 package but she's sitting on a 3/4 ton frame. Put a 12 bolt rear end in with a tranny upgrade. Putting out 475 horse with 400 foot pounds of torque.

I could pull a Kenworth if I had to.

Corn fed Beef and corn with cream of corn and corn stew and corn on and off the cob with corn ice cream and corn cookies! Pretty sure this is the perception. :D
