Yes, god forbid that we hired inexperienced assistant coaches that are doing a fine job. Or we could have got some of those great experienced assistants like Texas and USC.

Lets get back to the topic and not rehash crap that had been blabber about enough in other threads.

And for the record Els stint as a head coach, and as a DC at the D1 level and as a LB coach at Ohio for six years say screw your thought on that. And that is coming from someone who loathes the guy from a personal experience.

He is a mid major bum. In regards to Newby I still like our chances with him

 
Els has done a nice job as recruiting coordinator, and he coached one of the best LBs we've ever had. Despite what you're going to say (Hedley), Els does deserve some credit for David's success....

Not true at all. Ross had him for his Sr season! He was already tearing it up his Jr year. Els has been a mid major coach his entire career for a reason. You don't see coaches in mid major roles for 20 years before playing big boy ball.

Not going to argue with you over this as has been mentioned before this is a Newby thread. If you want to discuss it more make a thread for it and I will be more than happy to join in.
