White People

Why would you want to regress and create more separation simply because of physical appearance? Why can't we just take that final step and label people based on their character and values rather than their appearance? The way of thinking that you are talking about is exactly opposite of the way our culture should be moving.
Because that's exactly what black people do.

Why is it that black people can call white people crackers, honkies and white boys? Don't you think those terms are meant to be racist? Black people don't mean them as compliments. You say by creating separation we're going backward, but isn't that exactly what black people do?
You need to watch the louis ck video that was posted.

On a tangential note, anyone here ever heard of the Congressional Black Caucus? ( LINK ) I’ve always wondered what would happen if a Congressional White Caucus was formed. A few years back I thought about starting a rumor that a Congressional White Caucus secretly existed. Create some clues to its existence, and leak them to the media. Then stand back and watch the sh#tstorm. Because we all know that a Congressional White Caucus would be evil. And anyone associated with it would be a bigot. But a Congressional Black Caucus is okay.

Face it. Sometimes it’s not easy being a pale male.

To the original point, the ever-growing PC culture in America and much of the anglo-sphere is making one's self-identification as a white (privileged), straight (privileged), male (privileged), Christian (privileged) person a point of shame. Even in today's American society that is as opportunistic as it has ever been, the identifiers listed above are viewed by many as "oppressive" and are believed to have only achieved any success through their "privileged" status. Ironically, if you look at this map , Americans (U.S.) are, according to the study, some of the LEAST racist people in the world, yet, being proud of one's "white" heritage is viewed as being anti just about every historically "oppressed" group in the country (whether that oppression still exists today or not). Ultimately, whites don't want to be viewed as being proud of being white because, in the hyper PC, HR, country that we now live in, it will be interpreted as being proud of NOT being something else (which is, of course, offensive and could cause one to not get a job, lose a job, etc.)

Things go bad when white people band together. The Nazi party and the KKK come to mind. I agree with Land Lord though.

5 insights on the racial tolerance and ethnicity maps, from an ethnic conflict professor

This week, we’ve examined global comparative data on ethnic diversity (here’s our map of the most and least diverse countries) and, more controversially, on racial tolerance (here’s our map of countries where people show the highest and lowest levels of racial tolerance).

Pretty good article on racial tolerance in the Washington Post last week. Turns out the U.S. isn't as bad as most of us make it out to be.

edit: This is the article linked in Creighton Duke's post above. Ha ha! I thought I might've gotten to this article from this thread, but I wasn't sure. And I didn't see Creighton's link when I posted this. Oh well.

Wait, no I didn't.

Yup my high school wouldn't let me apply for minority scholarships even though there were more Hispanics than Caucasians. Gotta love reverse discrimination

Pretty much. Created by entitled white guy with chip on his shoulder.
I don't know what kind of upbringing you had, probably a nice cushy one living in an all-white neighborhood, but I don't see how I am entitled. I grew up with basically nothing while being called racial slurs by the blacks I went to school with.
