Watched a couple of movies this weekend: Cloud Atlas and Seven Psychopaths.

I'd recommend both, but if you haven't read Cloud Atlas, you're going to be very confused. They left out a lot of the background info for the different stories and they jump around way more than the book. Kinda made me like Tom Hanks again, which is crazy.

Seven Psychopaths was good. Kinda kooky. Had some funny parts, some shoot'em up, some sad parts. Sam Rockwell is becoming one of my favorite actors.

 
steve martin is a talented man. it is easy to forget what a comedic genius he was since as a child i mostly knew him from formulaic family comedies.

Yeah, he could have - should have exercised greater restraint (I'm sure he knows that). But I hope the fact that the guy was purposely antagonizing the cop just to get that kind of response is taken into account. Slap the cop on the wrist, but anything further than that would be a shame.

I wonder what's with the child abuse charges. Was this part of the cops harassing Bell? Or did this happen before he started following them, trying to bait them into a reaction?

I completely agree with you. Get the hell out of the way and leave em do their job. In my opinion, this whole "police harassment bla bla bla" gets thrown around way too much. You want kept safe or not? Let the guys do their job. This kid is a prick. Plain and simple and in my opinion the cop shoulda just kicked his a$$ right there just for being a little smart-mouthed twit. Jesus, my dad use backhand me when I was kid for bein more respectful than that. Get a life dooshbag.
