WR Monte Harrison

Bubba made the right call, he was a tippy-top draft pick and got ridiculous money. Remains to be seen where Harrison would get drafted and what he'd get. Could be he'd be better-off sticking with football while working-on raising his MLB draft status playing college baseball.

Khiry Cooper thinks that's great.

Interesting that most on here say take the money. How many of you would exchange your college education for 200K as a 18 or 19 yr old. The money would be gone in no time, if you don't make it to the show, that 200k seems really small. On the other hand 4 yr education and then play both sports and give yourself a chance to develop into a major league prospect or NFL draft pick, if not you still have the degree. Smart money takes the education. College grads sometimes have a difficult time finding gainful employment, imagine having just HS diploma.

From the way it sounds, he's not looking at 200k money.... I'd agree with you if so, but Bubba was looking at $4 or $5 million I think. Time will tell if Harrison has that kind of value....

It also depends on what his true love is - he can be like Russell Wilson and completely just LOVE football and have baseball to fall back onto.

Well, he can both take the money AND get free ride for college. If he doesn't make it in baseball, he can come back and get a schollie to play footbal - the best of both worlds. That's why he should take the money.

It all depends on where he gets drafted and how much money he can make. If the amount isn't too big he may be better going to college and playing both sports. He could get better at both sports in college and he could then get more money either way he decides to go.
