After the visit we are his "solid leader".

He's going to talk to his parents, but it sounds like he's close to committing. He also said Clinkscales will probably also commit.

You never recruit backups. You always go.out and try to recruit starters.

Exactly. We don't recruit players unless we think they can contribute. Probably the same for everyone.

We have a lot of very good young players on defense everywhere but corner. Boaz Joseph is the only underclassman currently on campus and there are only four CBs total right now for next year - unless CJax gets moved back to CB, which is probably likely.

There is definitely one starting CB spot open. I would guess he would have every opportunity to start. But we need depth as well. Does that help?

IMO, they should move Gerry to Safety and switch Jackson back to CB.

I would guess CJax goes back to corner either way. But I agree that I'd REALLY like Gerry to be a starting safety next year.

Not the right thread for this but I really liked Leroy and cooper at safety this year.
