Gator Bowl: Have some faith Huskers!

Taylor is also expected to be back for this game, if not, at least Armstrong will be healthy.

Nothing but upside for us in this one and we have every reason to be motivated. I expect a good showing with no letdown. I am excited! We can win this one.

I think our line will be OK by the 1st. Outside of Long every single one has played through the injury they suffered. Giving them 4-5 weeks off to rest should bring them back up to speed.

Hell, maybe Armstrong won't be healthy, and we can run some more zone read with Kellogg some more!!!!

A much better option than RKIII. At least with Armstrong, it opens up our running game, even with a dinged up OL. The kid will have a lot of time to study film on his mistakes. I am not selling him out just yet.
I'm not selling him out, just not a big fan of his turnover skills. RKIII isn't clean either though. I'd probably take Ron over Tommy if Tommy didn't need the experience. The run game doesn't need opening up it's pretty good on it's own, and RKIII can loosen the D up with his arm more than Tommy can in my opinion. At this point with a healthy Armstrong I'd like to see the 2 QB system used again unless someone gets really hot.

Georgia eh? Well I just wanted something fresher but we fell short of earning that. Georgia is beat up to the point of it getting uglyif they lose anyone during the game. We can definitely win this game if we play smarter and harder than we did against Iowa.

By the way, anyone else notice we were the only bowl not even mentioned on the selection show?

I can agree with that. Start with Armstrong, if he isn't doing it, pull him. Don't pull him if he is on though (still baffles me why Beck did that). Armstrong's turnover's are critical, and a problem. At least Taylor was able to recover most of his. A lot of Armstrong's are mental, like the toss to Newby on the option, and just the ball security issues when he keeps it. I thought his accuracy issue had to do with his knee being cleaned out, but you would think that would also damper his option to run the ball. I am no longer a believer of that. There is something, and I think its more along the lines of impatience and mental preparation. Either way, we will have to establish a run game, and Beck needs to utilize our FB's against Georgia IMO. Utilize as in putting them in as blockers.

What it felt like for Ron.

Haha no sh#t! I felt bad for him. From what I heard, the commentators were even question why we were running with Ron. Ugh, I have just not been happy with play calling. Sure, run/pass ratio is good, but its the running plays that are being called that are my issue. Not using our FB's have been a huge disappointment too.

Multiple. Got to be multiple damn it. Even if it's at the expense of success.

I hear ya. There's been games where I can see what Beck is doing and even if it doesn't work it's acceptable because there was method to it. Then there's games where it's just a total mind f#*k and we go 3 and out passing every down or don't use simple intermediate routes when we just need to pick up short yardage. I swear the slant route isn't even in our play book.
