You have to admit we've had some pretty bad luck for some of those seasons though. Not really... you know the old saying. Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, three times is a trend. So what is 6? A continuation of that trend. That's not to say there HAS to be 4 losses. There could very well be a season of 1 loss or 6 losses. But if I were a betting man making a prediction, I would predict 4 losses.Isn't it equally myopic to assume things will stay the same? You know what happens when you assume, right?Yeah seriously. Any good will towards this program has been tapped. It's time to produce, and if they do, great. But it's myopic to assume anything will be different.I predict that Gregory will have a great year and enter the draft next spring and that the team will have 4 losses. There's really no reason to predict anything else at this point.

Martinez getting hurt in the Mizzou game back in 2010, which affected him through 2011.
Losing Jared Crick for most of the season and Baker Steinkuhler before the CCG against Wiscy in 2012
Losing Martinez, half the offensive line, and multiple injuries to the receiving corps last season.
One of our biggest issues has been injuries. If we can stay healthy this year, I see no game on our schedule that is an obvious loss.
I get that every team needs to be able to deal with injuries, but we seem to have injuries occur in the worst positions at the worst times. I can't think of another team that has had the same bad luck we've seemed to have the past few years. You have to admit we've had some pretty bad luck for some of those seasons though.

Every team has injuries, its a fact of football. When I look at the schedule, I'm unsure about Miami. I haven't followed them closely enough to have a strong opinion, but it feels like a game we would lose the last few years. But if I had to put money on the games, I'd say we'll lose at MSU and lose at Wisconsin.
Not every team has to play without their 4 year, reigning conference player of the year, qb AND reigning all-american, 3 year starting lineman. You have to admit we've had some pretty bad luck for some of those seasons though.

Yes but some are more serious than others.Every team has injuries, its a fact of football.
Yes, but if we want to declare that Nebraska's injuries were worse than every other top 25 team (or anything along those lines) someone will have to present hard data.Yes but some are more serious than others.Every team has injuries, its a fact of football.
Can you honestly name a team that had worse injuries than us last year? Georgia lost ONE player, we lost almost our entire offense.Yes, but if we want to declare that Nebraska's injuries were worse than every other top 25 team (or anything along those lines) someone will have to present hard data.Yes but some are more serious than others.Every team has injuries, its a fact of football.

Yes, every team has injuries. Not every team has to deal with what we did a year ago. And those that did, well, they werent very good either (Florida, Georgia, and Mizzou2012 immediately come to mind).
They appear worse because we all focus on Nebraska more than any other team, for starters. And they may hit Nebraska harder because there appears to be a talent depth issue combined with an absence of getting the next man ready. This has been very glaring at the QB position.Yes, but if we want to declare that Nebraska's injuries were worse than every other top 25 team (or anything along those lines) someone will have to present hard data.Yes but some are more serious than others.Every team has injuries, its a fact of football.
I pointed this out several months ago.Yes, but if we want to declare that Nebraska's injuries were worse than every other top 25 team (or anything along those lines) someone will have to present hard data.
Yes we focus on Nebraska more than any other team but I bet as a whole our fanbase follows the rest of the country alot closer than most other fanbases. The shallow QB roster wasnt all the staffs fault either. A 4yr starter goes down so they prepare for the next year with the next guy and split time with the Senior walk on. How is that not "getting the next man ready"?They appear worse because we all focus on Nebraska more than any other team, for starters. A shallow college football roster isn't the coaches fault, who's charged to recruit and fill his roster.
