2014 Alternate Unis?

It's Adidas. They aren't the crazy (not in a bad way) designers of Nike. They are conservative. So I don't know why anyone (not pointed at anyone here specifically, just the negative comments I am running across) keeps expecting much more out of them or even what they expect.

If these are horrid, I would be interested to see what people actually thought of a more out there design produced by Nike for the Huksers because I bet it would be an outright rebellion. I would say, if anything, these are more of a "ho-hum, it's different I guess" kinda change.

The extent of their design is a color change and a type change. I bet the discussion is pretty much like this. Fred, Nebraska wants an alt. Alright, how about an all red uni. Done. Take the numerals from last year's alts. Done. Make the helmet red. Check. Alright Fred, that was rough. let's call it a day.

I guess this is okay for an alternate uni. I think the players like this stuff. And I probably would too, if I was a 19 year old athlete. But I don't think I'm going to rush out and buy a jersey like that. (That is, if you can get them anyplace. )

I like NU's partnership with Adidas. Nike has "too many" schools under their belt, and NU wouldn't be special like they are with Adidas.
Personally I would like Under Armour, but Adidas isn't bad and their clothes are comfortable and classy
UA isn't bad, but they try to get things too crazy. Notre Dame switched to UA this year, so it will be interesting to see how traditional they stay. The kids do love UA gear.

I thought last year's black jerseys were too forced. I don't mind black as an accent color on alt uniforms but NU's colors are scarlet and cream.

Also, go back to 1 TV game a year, 1 pm kick offs, no Husker Vision, and get off my lawn!!!
