The "Outrageously Idiotic Past the Point of Comprehension" Statements Thread

It's ok. My wife used to be a little chubber. Reverse cowgirl and blowies helped her shed the excess weight. When she starts feeling a little heavy or her favorite article of clothing gets a little tight, it sets off alarms that she's been slacking in the bedroom. Look, I'm just trying to help her live a healthier lifestyle and if that means I have to lay in bed and allow her to do all the work for her benefit, then as a loving husband, I'll do just that. I took vows. And one of them was "In thickness and in health"

Tommy Armstrong is the first Nebraska QB to go over 300 yards total offense in the first three games of the year since Joe Ganz. The kid is only going to get better from here. He's only a sophomore. We finally have a true dual threat at Nebraska!
If he could hit the broad side of a barn on short passes and learned how to check down. Until then, he's a guy that can run the option and throws a pretty ball.

Let me know when he can throw an effective ball.
"an effective ball", i mean. only on huskerboard could a qb be criticized for having too many big plays and not enough check downs.

can't wait till our next qb only throws to his check down and we can be upset about missing out on the long ball.

Big plays are great, but we're not going to get them against better defenses. Is it seriously that stupid and incomprehensible to want a QB that has both a great arm in conjunction with good decision making ability?

I mean this is Huskerboard. You can b!^@h about the starting QB, or even bring someone's wife into question.

If you question the coach though......

we are getting them because teams are selling out to stop the run. but the kind has a 7:1 td to int. ratio and has played pretty well. hopefully he learns to find his check down. that seems like something you develop through experience. but it seems like people are trying to incessantly discount him just for missing a check down even though he still is putting up pretty good stats.

and i guess i threw that post in here because "an effective ball" seems like a very specific pass that some people only care about.

You keep focusing on that f'ing 7:1 stat against our weakest competition of the year, but what about last year when the stat was 9/8? I'm not saying we replace him, just that I want him to IMPROVE AS A QB. Am I prone to exaggeration? Yes but I thought that was pretty f'ing well known by this point. But no, because I don't think he's the second coming of f'ing Jesus I'm a f'ing retard.

But you know what, I give up. You're right TA has 0 improvement to make, and I definitely would rather see him throw into triple coverage instead of a wide open AA. GBR!

Lighten up, Francis.

Whoa you are taking the internet way too seriously today. The reason for the amount of big plays is because the teams Nebraska has played are loading the box and daring TA to make a big play and tried to stop the run, and to Nebraska's credit they are responding pretty good. I am not a sunshine pumper and agree that TA needs to improve his game but to complain about this stat is just stupid.
