They won't, just like sCUm tried to claim it as a rivalry, Iowa fans are already saying it's a rivalry and it's not. Iowa doesn't deserve that spot at the end of the year. Imagine if we win all of our games the rest of the year and Wisconsin wins them all expect for the one against us. That would've meant the last game of the year would've been for a spot in Indy. That makes for an exciting game and this Iowa game is going to suck in the future because Ferentz is probably going to get canned at some point here and Iowa will slip way down the food chain in the B1G.

 
I guess we should ask ourselves, is there a difference between a trophy and a rivalry? Personally I think a trophy shouldn't be forced like the Iowa/Nebraska one. It should be a stolen object that a chapter of one of the schools steals during a football game.

 
I wouldn't count on Ferentz getting canned BRI. He's pretty much a life over there. They're fine with .500 seasons even since he is "consistent." It speaks to the difference between Iowa and NU as programs.

I think we should make it a Cheesesteak tropy. Perfect blend of regional delicacies.

 
I don't get all this shoe and jug talk.....aren't the trophies we want the league and national championship trophies?

It is actually what makes the B1G special. True rivalries.

Dont believe that, ask a Gopher fan how excited they were to get the piggy back from Iowa and the little brown jug from michigan.

I get it seems stupid, but it actually helps show those historic rivalries importance

 
Personally I think the trophy games and trophies are kinda cool. What makes them cool is their long history. These things all start somewhere but you can't just manufacture them out of thin air. There has to be something in my opinion that makes sense for it to happen. Whether its a Wisconsin players helmet after Randy Gregory rips one of their heads off and sh#ts down their throats. Then the "sh#t Stained Wiscy Helmet" would become the official trophy.

Ya know......something like that.
