If you want Bo gone, are you prepared to go 5-7 this next year?
I don't know if that's a possibility, but 7 or 8 wins definitely is. Which is why I think you can't fire Bo if he beats Iowa, even if that would be the best move -- it places the next coach in a lousy situation.
Emotions fade. Fans are angry right now, but if we lose 5 games next year then 2014 will transform in their memory as "Sure, there was a bad loss, but all 3 losses were to ranked teams and two of them were close." That's hardly unfair to say, even.
So that's why I think if we go 8-4 Bo can be fired without much issue, but it'd be really tough at 9-3. If Bo is going to get fired, it's best that he emphatically demonstrates deserving it first, in a way that can stand the test of time.
