The Sock Puppet Rides!

I sure hope Barney and Ron are working double time to calm the waters with our current players and recruits.

I could see them being the only two left that could have any impact or voice of reasoning.

In the same breath the longer we wait to announce the longer Barney is in charge. Yikes!

This is a vital and sensitive time for our program...

I pray to The Almighty Sock! that Shawn knows what the F he's doing.

Barney takes a beating, me included, but I agree he could definitely help a lot at this time.

I also think it's time Barney hangs up the coaching towel. Bring him in to the administration at the University. From what I know of him he is a really great guy and I think could do great in admin. But coaching has passed him by imo.

 
If the AD has a grease board with a list of top 10 potential & realistic coaches, I have a difficult time thinking we would land our top 2 choices. If the top 2 are Tressel & Frost like vegas thinks, I don't know what option 3 or 4 would be?

There is legit questions and concerns with those two guys. I do like McElwain, but 7.5 mil buyout plus Bo's 7.9 mil would mean they pay 15 million right there. Wow

I have no idea what's going to happen, but I just hope they get it right and it all works out.

I have hard time thinking Tressel (HC) & Frost (OC/Ast Coach) is reality. That would be pretty great IMO, but I won't believe that until it's all signed on the dotted line.

Frost and Tressell arent the top 2 choices, they are the most LIKELY to happen (as per Vegas). I dont pretend to know the AD and his toughts, but i highly doubt Frost is in the top 3 on his list - just not enough HC experience.

What do you say to the tweet that supposedly confirms Tressel will NOT be coaching at NU?

 
Tressel is my first choice, as long as there are no recruiting restrictions attached. Frost might be a neat OC, but not a desirable HC At this time IMO. If it is Tressel, I'm hoping some of the penalties he's facing can be dealt with.

If this turns out to be false and we end up with Dan McCarney as a head coach I'm gonna freak. If this turns out to be true and we end up with Jim Tressel/Frost/Gary Patterson or any other combination of big names......I'm gonna freak. The difference in freak is the key.......

Interesting that Tressel and Frost might both come. Tressel and Frost's style of offense seems so different it is hard for me to imagine them together. Pretty exciting though.
