The problem I have with this ^ is that it often runs counter to this...

There are a LOT of guys here who disagree. I disagree with skersfan on a lot of things, and he's a wildly popular guy. I'm a wildly popular guy, if rep points mean anything. But neither of us are banished, and each guy's opinion is valued.

Hedley is another example. He was best known for being the antithesis of what HuskerBoard stood for. He weathered the storm, he's still here, most every one of his posts are +1'd now. He's bona fide, even if his opinions run counter to the norm.

Hunter94 is another example. kchusker_chris is another. Heck, True, you're an example. There are lots of people here whose opinions don't conform to some norm. Who a lot of people (me a lot of times) disagree with. But none of you are banned, none of you are being forced to change your opinions, none of you are persecuted for not following some "norm."

...(I got thrown in there too). You say if a lot of people have a problem with you, you're the problem. Well, that's what happens when you're the diversity you mention in the first post - as Polo, myself and a few other were in regards to Pelini for the last couple of years. You'll notice my posting days have pretty well ended, I'm one of the last few left. When you've got the majority of the board berating your opinion it gets old Positive or negative. I was one of the biggest Riley supporters early and got nailed for that too. Is it any shock that eventually polo started to take it over the line? He couldn't post here anymore without being attacked. Sad that he's gone now that Riley is in - i would have like to hear his opinions throughout the season as I'm sure he'd contrast to the Pelini years plenty which is going to be kind of interesting discussion in the near future. Ahh well, another one banned for an opinion that runs counter to the herd. I'll prolly be in there soon too, can't last long unless you conform.

And don't compare Nupolo with EZ-E. EZ-E pulled off the largest "rumor/troll" jobs in the history of this board with that BS he pulled. And he "explained" to the mods his "social experiment" and got to stay when he should have been booted the minute he was outed. Polo just had an opinion that ran counter to most - and because of it many had a problem with him, and therefor he became the problem...so ultimately the problem wasn't Polo as you allude to above, but his opinion.
