No coach in the nation cares about or wants to coach this kid as much as Coach Grimes? This is the reason/strategy LSU is using to get him there? So, what happens if Grimes leaves for another college team? Does the LSU staff tell Lashley to follow Grimes? No way. This is part of the reason it is hard to keep recruits after a coaching switch and why coaches leaving after NLI day is unfair to the players.
