Maybe it's not a knock on his faith, maybe it is, but whatever it is, Brown made the strategic decision to take a position that allowed him to stay in the public eye seemingly in contrast to the life of a humble preacher.

Trying to show and share Christianity is one of the very basic tenants of the Christian faith, so I mean, if anything, that should be an endorsement of his devotion to it.
Also, if you're a preacher you're only heard by people in church. What do you think the percentage is of players/staff on a D1 football team that are regular church attenders? Attacking someone's moral fiber because they are trying to help people by using their gifts and talents is a new one I haven't really seen before.
