Because they were covering the first round of the NFL draft. Also, I woudn't say I was watching it necessarily, more like background noise but it seemed Berman's voice was all I was hearing.

There's no Chris Berman or Mel Kiper on NFL Network.
So there's that.

Mike Mayock is more knowledgeable and far less annoying than Kiper. Michael Irvin is pretty annoying, but they don't let him talk too much during the draft.

I actually kinda enjoy Grudens take in the 1st round. He actually knows sh#t about each guy that gets picked. They guy does nothing but watch film. He has his moments but overall I listen when he talks. Kiper on the other hand, yeesh.

David Shaw would be NFL Network's answer to Gruden, I suppose. Again, infinitely less annoying.
