Call of Duty: Ghost

I have been playing quite a bit of COD Ghost lately. It is so easy to kill/be killed so you have to really be smart about how to attack the maps. I switched my SNG class from Vector to M-TARX and have been having some big time game plays.

Anyone else?

I wish I could go back to Ghosts, because Advanced Warfare is a steaming pile of poo. I felt Ghosts was a lot more tactical and not spammy like AW.

As someone who played both games competitively, pro players (I'm no pro) seem to think there's a higher skill gap in AW. I'm one who thinks all the excess jumping makes the game more random and kills hit detection. I enjoyed the guns more in Ghosts as well.

A lot of people I heard, said they didn't like ghosts for that reason. They liked running and gunning and hated the fact that they would die so much quicker. But I loved it. I started FPS gaming later than a lot of my friends (I picked up a PS3 and Black Ops a couple weeks before MW3 came out) and they were all really good, I was forced to take my time working around maps so I actually had a chance to kill someone rather than always being the bait. As I got better, I got used to the run and gun style a bit but my style always defaulted to the strategic play. I felt that I would just let the rest of my team run around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off and then I would try to be that sneaky a$$ ninja that goes around all the action and behind enemy lines to squeeze out the guys hunkered down. Which typically worked really well with the players we would have. Then Ghosts came out and it forced everyone to have to do play more strategically so when everyone was having to re-figure out that strategy, my learning curve was a lot smaller and I was able to take the lead and dominate.

When AW was announced I stopped playing altogether for a number of reasons. 1) A lot of my gaming friends were jumping to PS4 (and eventually the new game) and I didn't have the money to do so at that point. 2) Rather than doing other things I enjoy outside, I was spending a lot of time each night playing, which harbored a lot of bad habits and at times further enhanced my anxiety/depression. 3) I was becoming more involved in Special Needs Hockey and Special Olympics Basketball which I felt deserved more of my time. 4) I sort of figured that I wouldn't like the new game (especially the jumping) and it felt like a logical place to jump off.

Totally the quick killing is part of the appeal for me. In fact, I has been playing Hardcore more because 1) the number of hits you can take is even lower and 2) that is were many experienced players go so I can step up my game and not have to worry about noob tubes. I would not say I am a major gamer, but I can hold my own.

I like to get some quick strikes on the other team then bait others into traps. I also watch the flow of my team, and if everyone is running together, I will double back and flank the other team as they are engaged.

What loadouts work well for you guys?

I am playing on the Wii U, and COD MW2 is not available on that platform.

Is there another COD with similar gameplay and maps to MW2? COD 3, MW, World at War, or Black Ops?
