Diehard husker fan but for some reason I am really into this BYU Michigan game. Metrics say BYU by the widest margin of any of the ESPen college pick em games this week, but UM with that 14 ranked Scoring D at home pounding the rock. We will see what kind of guts BYU has and vise versa.

Ran into his own blocker and then went down. I don't see why the staff stands by him. Wilbon is explosive and Cross runs down hill. It's a damn shame that he continues to get the lions share of the carries, because he just looks like the same guy, week after week. Decent speed, decent vision, but not a decisive runner and he will never have a defense game plan around him.

Ameer set a high standard, and there's no real guarantee that Wilbon or any other guy on the roster would do any better than Newby. I'd like them to get carries too, but...

A high standard, fine. But Newby had a blocker downfield and instead of churning toward open field, literally went out of his way to run into the back of him like they were both wearing magnets.

It's not that Newby isn't Ameer; he's just not very good. And all I'm asking is: Give someone else a chance to show their stuff. Give Wilbon a chance to put up 200 yards against a cream puff D. If he can't, I'll shut up about Newby. Until then, there is a valid basis to wonder if we can do better.
