In deed it is. Need to open up the eyes of certain supporters. When I saw the BYU-Mich score scroll by I LOL'ed pretty hard and grinned.
Why are you on a husker board?
I asked the same question when the board turned against the coach who actually brought the program back to relevance. With that being said... Bo should have been fired. His heart wasn't in it the last season(although its easy to see why). I knew that, You knew that and your mother even knew that. She makes a mean lasagna btw. Back on topic.. I was strongly against Riley being hired. Although I understand him accepting the job. I would, You would and your mother would. That's BIG TIME money and an opportunity. However, he is not the guy to get it done here. I know that..., you know that.. ah heck you know how it goes.
in your opinion why was it Bos heart wasnt in his last season here??
because all us meanie fans got mad at him for telling us to f#*k off and embarasing loss after embarasing loss.
No more so complete lack of support from your athletic department the day eichorst walked in the door. I was there at the OSU game and said the same thing Bo said at half-time when 25% of the fans left because of the point deficit and a slight mist.
Whats this lack of support you speak of? What. Did he need Eichorst to stand at every practice and hold Bo's d!(k for him like Osborne apparently must have done? Jesus. No other coach in the dept. complains of lack of support.
Bo's problem as it became clear at the end is that he's a hypersensitve, narcissistic a-hole. When things are good,, he's great. When they go south a little, he panics and freaks. And as a head coach that's bad. he loses his mind. He cant think straight. And while the team is looking to him for adjustments and leadership, all he can do is spit in their face-and in the case of Ron Brown, LITERALLY-. The team panics
Bo Pelini was a roller coaster of emotions and results. Season to season. Week to week. Minute to minute. And the team reflected that on the field.
It's documented that the guy would call press members and rip their a$$ for things they would say in papers and on radio. jeebus kreist. All the prep a coach needs to spend time on and he'e wasting time on sh#t like that. He let the criticism snake in that lockkerroom door. He's the one who wasnt smart enough to ignore the 5% vocal negative and embrace all the folks that blindly supported him week after week. It's no surprise to me whatsoever that Alex Lewis did what he did a week ago.
Bo created a rift between the players and the fans. It was toxic. His firing was not about wins and losses. And the hiring of Riley was not about wins and losses. Requirement 1 was finding the Anti Bo. Check. Whether it's right or wrong, I dont know yet. and I dont care. But Bo showed us loud and clear that he didnt deserve to be a head coach at the University of Nebraska. True character show in times of diress and when you think no one is watching. Bo failed MISERABLY in an instance of both accounts.
And all this is from a guy-me-that supported Bo pretty blindly up until the Michigan St. game last year. Then I started to waiver. I even defended him through the 1st audiogate (yes, its really said that we have to number these instances). But after that game I began to waiver. But it was a matter of field performance. The Wisconsin game did it in. minny was just icing. But again. I wanted him gone for field performance. But that meeting with the players. Wow. I'd seriously like to hit that classless m-f'r. How he has a job at any sort of educational institution is beyond me.
Go listen to his post game presser in State College, PA in 2011, then listen to his post firing players meeting, and try to tell me with a straight face that that guy isnt an off-the-rails, hypersensitive, two faced piece of sh#t who no way in hell should be in charge of young men at a most important time when their lives are being shaped.
I said it after the players meeting. We're gonna find out-and in my opinion on mentality, we are after 4 games-the Bo did a hell of a lot more damage to this program then Callahan and Pedersen ever dreamed of. Riley's job these first couple years is a hell of a lot hard than anything Bo had to deal with.
he had me fooled. For 6 and half years. He had me. f#*k you Bo Pelini.
