How many close losses before Nebraska is locked into a bowl game and how thin does the margin of defeat have to be before the Cornhusker get back into the Top 25?

I said last week that a win is a win, and by the same token, a loss is a loss. Style points are awarded in collegiate gymnastics and diving, not football.

I guess I see it as essentially team wide by just watching our play and demeanor on the field. For most players anyway. There's no passion. There's no desire. There's no excitement. From a lot of guys. That's what I see. not just today. Ive been vocal about this concern since game one.

These guys had 18 years prior to Bo to establish an attitude and a personality.

These guys are young adults. Act like it.

It's partly a societal thing.

In 1944, a future U.S. Senator by the name of George McGovern was the same age as Alex Lewis is now. He was given a four engine bomber, nine crew members, 4,000 lbs. of bombs, and then held responsible for all of that while thousands of enemy troops tried to kill him from the ground and in the air.

Now, in 2015, many think it is too much for a person that age to be able to handle a smart phone if someone gets cranky with them. These are different times, I guess...

408's grandfather was a Fascist pilot of Mussolini's who tried to shoot McGovern down as he flew over Italy, of that I am sure. RADAR records confirm it. And ever since that time, the Pelini family has been attacking the American way of life!

Lewis' bad attitude isn't something that is spread throughout the team. But it is something that if it lingers could turn into an issue, especially since it is coming from one of the 'leaders' of the team.

Lewis' role on this team was a point of contention this week among offensive coaches anyways. One coach wanted him demoted, while others did not. Should be interesting to see what happens now.

Given that this was a captain last year ..

Alot of the captain status' have to do with senority more than they have to do with anything else. And that gets us stuff like ..
