Huskerboard is famous! Maybe not in a good way...

LOL... whatever it takes to convince yourself.
Seriously, what proof can you offer that Richt would succeed here. He should be winning the SEC East every year, yet finds ways to lose it to Mizzou and SCAR.
He's beaten Saban, Meyer, Miles... who else can say that? He's a multiple-time SEC conference champion, plus an ace recruiter and a Nebraska guy to boot. What more do you want? It's not easy when you have to play Alabama, LSU, Auburn, A&M, Ole Miss, MS State, and the rest of the SEC slate year-in, year-out. There really are no pushovers in the SEC with the exception of Vanderbilt and Kentucky. Speaking of South Carolina, didn't they smack us down in the Capital One Bowl a few years ago? So, um, yeah.

Yeah, but.. didn't Nebraska beat Georgia a couple years later? So, um, yeah.

Well obviously it was because they weren't motivated and they had a bunch of injuries and the field was slick. You know, those things.

Ohhh, I get it now. You actually believe the crap ESPN tells you. Sorry, I didn't realize. Carry on little guy.

Awareness.

I'm sure Richt would not have been viewed as a bad candidate, had he been the choice this time around ... and in several years if Nebraska needs to hire a new coach and Richt is up for it, I'm sure many would welcome him as a nice hire.

That's not the issue here

I don't know if Mark Richt is a home run coaching candidate or not. It's kind of irrelevant at this point.

But to say a that a guy who is coaching in one of the best states for HS football recruits is an "ace recruiter" seems a bit of a stretch.

...we were a lot better then...

I don't dislike Richt as a candidate to coach here, but regarding recruiting, we have a legitimate shot at stealing one of his recruits literally from UGA's own back yard. That says something.
