DE Khalid Kareem [Notre Dame - Signed LOI]

Interesting. Wonder if he's Muslim? Not saying Muslims don't go to ND, but I would bet it's rare.
What in the blue hell does that have to do with playing football there?
Its a Catholic university. What would that not have to do with a Muslim playing ball there?
I just find it interesting if a Muslim would choose to go to school and play football at a university that openly teaches and professes Jesus is the son of God. I just find really interesting if he is Muslim. He could have chose a public university.

I guess if i was Muslim i doubt i'd have a Catholic university on my short list of schools that offered me. Its just interesting to me.

It would be crazy interesting to get the outlook from both sides. The recruit and how they choose a university that differs so much from their religion and also from a religious university and how they go about recruiting athletes and accepting scholars/students with vastly different relgious beliefs.

Just thinking outloud i guess.

I'll try to find it - ND had a Muslim OL that played and loved attending ND. Sports Illustrated ran an article on it.

It was forever ago. I'll try to dig it up, striking out so far.

Something tells me people can look past the religious aspect of Notre Dame.
