Fant is ranked around #63 as a WDE by 247. 247 has this kid ranked #70 as a TE. Curious if anyone knows what 247 or any other service has this kid ranked as.

Fant is a bit taller and and about 10 pounds heavier and seems more athletic. I'm just trying to understand the interest in this kid when we seemed uninterested (perhaps not worthy of a scholarship) in Fant when he was first exploring his recruiting.

Hedley, in your knowledge and opinion then ... do you believe he is better then Fant? I was impressed with Fant and am just trying to figure out how good of a "get" this kid would be for us.

I think Beyer is a better offensive weapon than Fant. Beyer couldn't play DE like Fant though

Agree, Beyer is very versatile and more "polished" IMO.

 
If you watched Iowa play on Saturday night Matt Millen was telling the world how great of a talent evaluator Reese Morgan is. So if he hasn't offered him yet we are in trouble.

Riley visited with him at school today. State championship game was supposed to be today but got moved to Monday due to weather concerns.

Has played QB, RB, TE, WR, DE, LB, S and punted this year.

Iowa has been talking to him but have not offered as of now.

 
Still down 13-0 almost halftime. The opposing defense is absolutely destroying them. I believe Beyer is only player gaining yards. The radio guys are in love with his playmaking ability and keep semi-questioning the decisions to not get him the ball on almost every play.
