Just started watching this show and really dig it so far. Great acting, a great cast and I love that's it's much darker than the movie was.

Haha I love that the show gets cred for being darker than a movie that included something like a half dozen deaths and a body put into a wood chipper.

The tv show kept the darkness but definitely has lost the comedy. I think that's why I like it so much and I liked the comedy aspect of the actual/original movie.

I've heard so many great things about Fargo. Is there an order to it? i.e, should I watch movie first, then TV, or are they relatively distinct?

Yeah there are two seasons zoogs and I actually started with the first episode of season 2 and still really like it. I have yet to watch season 1 but have heard great things about it so I'm excited to start at the very beginning.

edit: I completely overlooked that you had mentioned not seeing the movie. As the dude said I would start there first.

For the longest time I thought this was a Netflix original series so I kept putting off watching it. Not sure I want to start with season 2.

 
Alright. Couldn't resist the urge. About 8 episodes into season 2. This show is f'ing fantastic. Breaking Bad / Twin Peaks quality.

 
Season 1 is on Hulu.

I liked S1 slightly more than S2.

And watch the movie if you haven't. No specific order required, they are pretty much stand alone.
