Six wins: 56.2% runs, 43.8% passes

Seven losses: 40.7% runs, 59.3% passes

Honestly, I'm ok with either one of those ratios as long as we're winning. Give it some time and I think some of those 7 losses become wins sooner rather than later.

I should hope Purdue isn't ever a loss again.
But that said, will people be content with 3 to 4 losses a season?

All of the BOlievers were apparently content with it. Had a conversation with one of the relatives tonight who still wishes we had Bo. I asked him why, and the response was well the team never gave up on him. My response was the big ten title game vs Wisky or last year vs Wisky. He merely said that it wasn't bad coaching that it was just superior players.

Once again I asked how could a walk on from GI be the back up QB for this team. His response well that's not the coaches fault. I find myself having conversations with people like this more often then I'd like to. Not sure if they will ever get it.

Did he ask you about the 4 backup QBs + 1 starter on UNLs National Championship teams?
1970 - Van Brownson: Shenandoah, Ia.

1971 - Steve Runty: Ogallala, Nebraska

1994 - Matt Turman: Wahoo, Nebraska

1995 - Brook Berringer: Goodland KS

1997 - Scott Frost(STARTER): Wood River, Nebraska

But I suppose you're not a Devaney or Osborne supporter either.

How many of those guys threw 4 INTs in a game? To compare Ryker with those last two guys is pretty laughable. Love the story but I doubt he'd be starting for many D-1 schools

How many of those guys were coached to throw 48 times against a conference bottom feeder?You don't have a clue about Ryker's abilities until he's led by a coach that can actually win more games than he loses.

Your purpose here is becoming more and more evident. The hate on the coaching staff rhetoric is growing old, I don't care how much discussion it causes.

You know what's growing old? The hiring practices of UNLs administration. The empty trophy case shelves from year 2000+. The non ability to be proud of our state treasure, the Cornhuskers. That's what.

Say he committed over the summer. Then say Clemson comes and offers Jan 15th and he flips. Then you would be pissed that the staff couldn't keep him on board. So basically you will be pissed in any situation unless he picks Nebraska

Ummm yeah....pretty much. Don't know why that's weird or out of the ordinary considering we've been recruiting him the hardest and longest. So you're saying you would just say "ehh" and be fine with the recruiting job on him if he decided to commit to Clemson on NSD?

YES. Jesus. Coaches can't do a good job recruiting unless the kid commits here? I pity anyone who ever works below you (and hope to God that never happens). Either 100% success or 0%?

Coaches can build great relationships and do a fantastic job recruiting, and sometimes the kid won't come here. Yes, that is an "ehh, best of the luck to the kid, no fault on our end".

First of all, you don't know anything about me or what I do so you can f#*k right off. I never said that coaches can't do a good job recruiting unless the kid commits here. I don't have a 100% or 0% mentality. We've done a good job recruiting him up to this point. My point is that, Mike Riley and co. have been emphasizing ever since the day they got here that they want to dominate the 500 mile radius. In turn, we've lost Noah Fant (Omaha), Jared Bubak (Lincoln), Amani Bledsoe (Kansas), Xavier Kelly (Kansas), Carlo Kemp (Colorado), (About to lose) Chase Allen (Missouri). I'm not saying I expect to see EVERY single one of these guys commit, because thats not realistic. It's just frustrating when we lose 2 guys in our own backyard to other P5 schools (one to Iowa.....don't even try to convince me that he's going to switch his commitment, he's not.). Isaiah Simmons is Nebraska's prototypical recruit that we should land 9 times out of 10 when he comes in a recruiting cycle. I NEVER SAID WE ARENT GOING TO LAND HIM. But, if it does happen, where he commits to Clemson, YES, that is a little frustrating to me! I'm glad you'd be over it just like that. I'm sure you're the type that was content with the 6-7 season because we beat MSU and only lost our games by less than a touchdown.

You need to relax, its their first full recruiting class. Recruiting is about relationships and it takes a little for this to happen.
