There is a chance that he won't have to sit out and could play next year. I know that the coaching staff was working on it with the NCAA, but don't know if that will be the case. This is *very* cool. I'm super excited.
You may be looking at our starting 2017 QB here. At least, he'll figure into the competition and has the leg up in experience.
I heard they were looking at getting him an extra year, so I don't know if that means he'll have '17 and '18. For sure he's sitting out '16, right?
The coaches are trying to get him another year of eligibility in 2018. There is nothing they can do to make him eligible for 2016.There is a chance that he won't have to sit out and could play next year. Grad students don't have to sit out a year aka Russell Wilson at Wisconsin and Everett Goldston at FSU. It has something to do with the date he graduated and some other confusing NCAA rules that they probably don't understand either. The coaches are trying to get him another year of eligibility in 2018.
