I didn't complain about the class being a disappointment, I was just a little disappointed with missing out on Fitz, Simmons, and Allen/Fant/Bisharat to really buoy the class. I am happy with the class, just lamenting what it could have been. So Douche you turd mongrel.

The fact we were even in it til the end with these guys is a huge improvement over what we had just a couple cycles ago. Yeah, had a few more gone our way it woulda been nice, but thats recruiting. Yet you question WTF we are even doing?

Ya. It does make me question. I'm not condemning anybody, just wondering about a few things. I also made it know in the Fitz thread that I feel his Dad and him played us. Things are much more complex than you would like to point out. I can question the staff but still back them. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.
If I didn't question, then I would just be a yes man like many people on here apparently have no problem being. Everything is great, don't question anything.

I feel good about the class. But losing Fitz and Simmons didn't hurt the class some? Am I missing something?

I don't just follow to follow, I prefer to ask questions and know what's going on. Just b/c I'm on board, and am ready to do my part to make Nebraska great again, doesn't mean I don't still have my own thoughts and questions about some things that go on.

I guess I'm just not near as great a fan as you are.

Never said I was a better fan, but I obviously struck a nerve since you jumped to that.

I'm fine with people questioning things when the situation allows it. You chose poor wording I guess at a bad time. We just finished a strong class and your comment came across as overly negative.

I stayed outta that mess. Personally, I think any school can relive its own glory days, it just takes the right staff at the right time. What that whole article translates too isn't "Can Nebraska be Nebraska again?", it's really "Can Nebraska win another National Championship and compete on a yearly basis again?". Identity is only important to tradition when you are losing.

Agree again. Its not about doing what we did when we were winning. Its about finding out now what we need to do to compete consistently for conference championships which will lead to competing for NCs. I dont agree it has to be what we did in the 90s, not saying it couldnt be, but definitely doesnt have to be. I really want a dominant defense again though. Offense i really dont care as long as its efficient and can score enough points to win.

I haven't engaged in many conversations in the Football Forum lately. There's so much leftover outrage from that shitshow of a season, and people don't know how to express all of it, so they're lashing out at each other. It's unfun, so I'm sitting it out until things calm down.

Exactly. The offense can be whatever the hell it has to be to suit the players on hand and the staff at the helm. Couldn't really care less if it is working well enough to stock pile W's. Defenesively, we all know a dominant line and physical pass rush is necessary to win here and against the Big Ten. I think the staff gets that too.
