Spring Game Will Be Televised

I got to say....I don't like the idea. This shouldn't be shown within a 500 mile radius of Memorial Stadium. This will keep a lot of people home. << Not good for recruiting.

I dont think it will hurt at all... the fact that it is much later than the actual game will make people want to go early. The game has already sold around 25,000 tickets which would be good for about any other college in the nations spring game. The stadium will still have the look of being full except the very tops of it and people wont sit as tight but I still think 65-75,000 people will be there.

By this point, most people that planned on going aren't going to all of a sudden decide not to go because it's on NFL network. None of the cable providers (to my knowledge) in Nebraska show NFL Network, you have to have a dish. I don't think this will have as big of an impact as, say, having it on ESPN. Then I would agree that some people would stay home.

Plus, the weather looks like it is going to be fairly nice now. Highs in the 50's with NO rain. Hopefully that holds up, that will be the deciding factor in attendance. Nice day = BIG crowd

Cox does.

NICE RECRUITING TOOL!

And I was thinking about switching back to cable..

Not showing up on NFL Networks site yet..At least not here..Is it regional or do they only have one region?

This is AWESOME news. Obviously it's not as good as being on a heavily viewed network like ESPN, but the fact that I get to watch even a little bit of it brightens an otherwise crappy Minnesota day. While it's not surprising, it still pisses me off that ESPN will televise OU's spring game live, but then instead of doing the same for us, they choose to put women's billiards on. I really hate that network.

Gee, I wonder why they would do that? :clap

Cox, DirecTV and Dish all carry the NFL network. The game is going to be tape delayed till 8PM anyways. I am going to the game and am also going to dvr the game.

As the week moves along, the forecast gets better and better. Apparently it is now supposed to be close to 60 and sunny on saturday. Who knows, it's not saturday yet and this is still Nebraska.
