Nice try...have u seen the chaos the last 2 days in the Democratic party for their rigged system. People are down on both parties, and had the GOP nominated Rubio, Kasich or most others, the GOP would beat Hillary in a landslide

Because it's been shown that the base of the democratic party is little more than duplicitous cronyism, because the leaders don't actually seem to hold the platform's values, and because our country needs more viable options.
Let's not act like the wikipedia definitions of republican/democrat/libertarian/etc. actually apply to the state of the current parties, if you're use of italics was meant as a "Why would people in favor of a bigger government party switch over to one defined by less government and more freedom" kind of thing.

I think the first part is way over the top, the second part is incredibly dubious in accuracy, and the last part quite agreeable. If indeed Democratic party leaders don't hold their platform's values, a staunchly "no government solutions" party is quite obviously *not* the place to be turning. If you have libertarian leanings, that's fine, it's a legitimate viewpoint -- but don't profess to (for example) defend the EPA against GOP fantasies about industry fixing itself, and then throw in for Gary Johnson.
If Bernie wanted to mount his own candidacy, he could probably do so. He commands a fierce and passionate support base and he could well create a party out of thin air; he may even do so after November, and secure defections.
But there's a reason he's chosen not to, and it's probably because the platform is actually pretty close to his own views.

I know many of you like watching the poll numbers - according to some published today, Trump saw no real bounce post convention. The people that liked him going in, liked him coming out. Those that were on the fence didn't leave any more likely to vote for him coming out of the convention, so his numbers didn't really move - flat.

Trump had gotten a bounce in that poll the week prior as he closed the gap after the Comey decision and VP annoucement. Moreover several new polls show Trump has growm his lead in key battleground states and the RCP average. We will have to wait til the 1st or 2nd week of August to see the net effect of both conventions. Going into the conventions Hillary had a 4 point lead in the RCP average.

Well, he isn't going to because he has gone past the date of getting his name on the state ballots.

Third party out of protest, but if I were in a state that may swing red or blue or had more than 3 electoral votes I would consider voting Hillary as a vote against Trump.
