Nebraska thus far is not getting a return on their $450,000 investment for our Special Teams Coach. Tonight has been a train wreck for that phase of the football game.

All season and last. This is nothing new. Last week when asked about going for 2, Helfrin said something to the effect of, " looked up and saw some guy looking lost so we went for it". This was on the first TD.

Not attempting a return there to make sure a punt fake doesn't get a first down. Not very likely a punt will be short enough to return and also likely that it will go into the endzone/be downed in a position where you wouldn't like your PR to catch the punt. But god does it look bad to have 8 defenders barreling at your PR.

With a previous AA punt returner...... Who can single-handedly change a game......might as well not have anyone back there. Just mad rush 11 every time..

they must be trying to prevent a fake punt because nobody even moves they just let the coverage team run right past them

We have potentially one of the best returners in the game and he has 10 players in his face on every return. I'm surprised the punter doesn't manage to be in his face too.

In their defense, the punter is lousy and has trouble kicking a returnable punt.
