All US citizens get the same amount of freedom. If you mean in the minds of other people, then like I said before, it's nearly impossible to change the mindsets of other people.

Maybe it is, and maybe it isn't. Rose-Ivey is setting out to face that very challenge.

Notice what the issue has been since this started. The people who have already been for change have been louder. The people who are against protesting in general, have also been louder. The country has just been more divided if anything, which saddens me because I see it as a huge step backwards from equality.

This is where the bulk of Americans are at on the entire subject of Black / White relations. Just as it is NOT racist to oppose mass immigration in to our country when there are literally hundreds of millions of would be 'immigrants' whose primary purpose for coming into this country is to destroy it. We have a country that is struggling mightily just to stay afloat socially, culturally, economically, and nationally and the sheer weight of the flood of non Americans (people whose values and ideas of what a Nation is and ought to be, are vastly different and in many ways diametrically opposed to America and the very spirit and values for which that flag flies high. The spirit and meaning of the flag is basically supportive of the very ideals and presumed goals of the Black lives matter folks. To protest against what you claim to be for is nonsense.

Black Lives Matter does NOT claim "all whites are racists."

There are not "literally" hundreds of millions of immigrants who want to destroy this country.

This country is not "struggling mightily" to stay afloat. We're doing just fine, thanks. Could be better, but still the best place to live in the world, all things considered.

I don't see how a person can, in one sentence, express fury that BLM is sending a message that "All whites are racists!" and just a few sentences later make the absurd claim that immigrants are "people whose values and ideas of what a Nation is and ought to be, are vastly different and in many ways diametrically opposed to America." The irony is palpable.

And finally, you clearly have no idea what BLM is protesting for.

Okay, I disagree with BLM, and I agree with some of what you say here, but I will also have to disagree with some of what you are saying. Walk up to a BLM protest and ask anybody there if all white people are racist, I will bet you anything that their answer will be "no." As much as they should not generalize us, we should not generalize them.

You're using the statements of a very few people to impugn the entire Black Lives Matter movement. Of course statements like that against cops are repugnant. Do you really think all BLM supporters want to harm the police?

BLM is very decentralized in the sense that any person or people can claim it while doing things not represented by the 'official' movement. As an actual organization, BLM hasn't and wouldn't ever spout rhetoric like this, and is consistently quick to condemn rogue people trying to hijack the movement for obviously hateful and misguided agendas.
