c**t OF THE DAY

1 of the greatest fans in the stadium might have offered to let the little old couple switch seats with them in that situation. you know the old couple wasn't going to stand and obstruct your view so you wouldn't have lost anything and might have made their day. instead you and they both end up pissed off.

Actual footage of Matty and this old lady:

Yeah, that experience would ruin the game. Maybe you could have offered to change seats.

Great point. Everyone in front of us was standing though, therefore they wouldn't have been able to see still and would've just found new people to b!^@h at.

you said you were in row 1.....were there people in front of row 1?

Sounded like a crowd of 35,000 on TV.
It was a weird afternoon. There was no energy in the stadium from the very beginning. With Carter getting hurt right away and Illinois hanging around, the crowd kind of got taken out of the game.

That long drive in the 3rd & 4th quarters was also hard to get excited about. We had to score because we were down six, and every play was a short gain. It was grinding, and difficult to feel excited about.

Yes there are a few lettered rows (A, B, C, etc.) in front of Row 1.

My son sat with a buddy of his who works at UNL in that same section, section 4 about 20-30 rows up. He was standing when we were on defense and it was a 1 point ball game. The couple behind him asked him to sit down. My son son said to them, "It's a one point ball game and we're on defense. Everyone should be on their feet cheering!" The couple told him, we want to sit and still see the game. He told them, If you want to sit and watch the game, why don't you stay home and watch it on TV then. The lady told him to either sit down or she would call the cops! He told her to go ahead and call them because they aren't going to arrest me for standing and cheering for our team! He did sit down since it was his friend's tickets and didn't want him to get in trouble with the University for bringing on obnoxious friend to the game.

Maybe the University should encourage their staff members who attend the games to actually be fans and root for the team instead of just sitting there on the butts or give their tickets to someone who wants to be involved in the whole game!

Precisely. That section was horrible, they should relocate them to the worst seats in the house, so they can all sit together and piss and moan.

Bill Burr thought it was loud. Too bad he missed the Oregon game.
