The Village of the "Banned"

He ended up being banned sometime last year. A bit of a shame. I forget what it was exactly, but I think he had some trouble reining in the outbursts.

Not 2000! Where am I supposed to get my daily dose of angry cynicism now?

It looked like ColoradoHusk got a timeout the other day too, his profile was grayed out.

How long has Shawn Watson been gone?

I'm surprised that scheme lasted as long as he did around here, honestly.
Lucky for you, there's a new member who signed up not long after 2000 was banned who sounds nearly identical. Check out our newest buddy who just about only ever posts in the P&R forum and is a staunch Trump supporter: @AlohaHuskers

EDIT - whoops. That account has said "goodbye."

If I had to guess, I'd say it's a violation of Rule #10.

#10 - No Circumventing a Suspension or Ban
If you are suspended or banned, there is a reason. If you want to inquire as to why you were suspended or banned, please send an “unsuspened or unban request”. Creating another username to circumvent the suspension or ban or to ask about a suspension or ban will cause your 'alternate' name to be permanently banned and your 'main' name's suspension time to be doubled.

Yep, I was given a 2-week suspension for a "personal attack" on Bowfin for calling him an a$$-hat when he was making idiotic remarks about Rose-Ivey after the Northwestern game.

I really wish there was a better warning system here, but whatever.

No kidding.

The "you weren't notified of anything, but you should have noticed that no action was taken, thus you should have interpreted that as your warning" is lame.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I also don't get how a suspension for one offense (trolling) then gets you another suspension for personal attack the very first time that personal attack happens.

It should be 1 warning for something, and then 1 warning for something totally different.

It'd be a pain in the a$$ to keep track of what the warnings were for. That said, while we're complaining, the ratio of warnings to years on the forum should be taken into consideration. When I was suspended it was my 3rd warning and I was told part of the reason I was suspended was the number of warnings I'd had. Before the suspension I had 2 warnings in 5 years. How is 0.4 warnings/year a lot? I mean... people get pissed off sometimes. It's pretty normal.

If 2 warnings looked like a lot, the 3 I have REALLY look like a lot now, even though it's half a warning/year.

The one warning I have gotten was delivered to me in a pretty noticeable manner (I didn't agree with why I was warned but that's for a different thread).
