When youre pretty much a ghost for for 7 weeks of wins, and then show up after the first close loss, and your first comment is "A Pelini led team wouldve manhandled this depleted Wisconsin team", that's f'ing trolling. Anyway you slice it. And is perfectly in line with 90% of his other posts. But it's cool. I'll just keep goin back and forth with him. It's fun to me most of the time. It's not the disagreement and negativity that gets me. i disagreed with Polo 98% of the time and had some of my more intense arguements with that dude, and am still wondering why the hell he was ever banned.

I'm looking through his posts, and he has been posting, almost daily, so to say he wasn't here until we lost isn't really true. I think what he said was completely stupid, and even though I vehemently disagree, he's entitled to that opinion no matter how stupid it is. He didn't attack anyone, and he didn't break the rules. And no, saying dumb sh#t isn't agains the rules (thank god!).
As for Polo, he had a really long leash, and was given literally dozens of chances. Ultimately, he felt that treating posters like sh#t, and continually flaming anyone who disagree with him, while also picking a fight with the entire mod and admin team was more important than staying around.

I guess the, "If everyone has a problem with you, then you're the problem" mindset only belonged to knapp and wasn't actually a position held by the moderating team. Which is too bad, because the rules are supposed to actually benefit the board community, not be something nebulous that are easy to hide from breaking.

These things aren't true. CM hasn't been a ghost for seven weeks of wins. He didn't show up after the first close loss. His first comment that I saw was to create a thread saying "Disappointing loss, but we can beat OSU." You may be thinking of TheSker, who appears to be closer to an anti-Riley troll, or Bowfin, an admitted troll who was recently banned.
And this big discussion about whether Bo's Huskers would have fared differently was in a thread titled Not Bo Pelini's Huskers.
CM may have disagreeable opinions, but that's as far as it has gone, lately. He isn't losing his cool, and he's not going around asking for people he disagrees with to be banned.
"If everyone has a problem" is a reason to caution people struggling to comport themselves civilly on the board. Do not mistake this for there being a "Vote Ban" feature where members can band together and run off folks who annoy them. Nobody can force you to be a troll. Don't expect trollish behavior at targets you feel are legitimate to be tolerated.
For the record, I'm as one hundred per cent behind Riley as anybody out there. And I was one of the earlier Bo critics. But I will not hand out bans and suspensions until all voices on the other side are snuffed out.

I was thinkin of TheSker as the one who's been nowhere to be seen. CM isnt smart enough to stay away when we're winnin. He's still a f'ing tool though. He's to easy. it's humerous. his trolling is obvious. And his whole thing about not losing cool and such makes it even more obvious. Cuz you know he doesnt even believe half the sh#t he says. Who would? I'm not asking for him to be banned. I started this whole soap box the other day wanting to know what the actual criteria is interms of this crap. Seems like at times some folks have been banned for a hell of a lot less. i dont see the whole story though. I can admit that. But I can still say he's a dumb**** troll who I'll continue to battle with. And finally say, thankfully for all, that my little spout on this subject is over.

I do believe CM believes all the stuff he says. At least, to the extent a lawyer is able to believe in anything!
Generally, at least for me personally, there's two criteria:
#1 - I start to think a member is here solely to cause trouble, and not to argue his points (however disagreeable those may be).
#2 - #1 doesn't apply, but the member isn't able to restrain himself from going on a tear at people.
Polo, for the record, it was agonizing to see him banned. I always enjoyed his presence here. I'd like to say we tried, for quite some time, to keep him at "just warnings".

He was only given a warning for his recent tendencies, and in response he asked for it. He was obliged. A nice way of working itself out

I don't give 2 sh*ts about CM bein banned or not and TheSker coming back after a loss is humorus however. JJ so eloquently pointed out in a thread. Onward and upward!. I was at an OSU Board, they are trying to figure out why the SHOE has become so quiet in recent games. Hope it is silent this week, except for our fans.

Agreed with all of your post but this paet. I seem to remember him being pretty quick to point the finger and call people trolls when they disagree with his lawyer style stance on issues (mostly pertaining to Bo Pelini).
