I have not read all the pages and Ibelieve that Read deserved to fired on the basis of the extra point formation alone (I mean we're Nebraska, only sissy west coast teams pull that crap). However, as reports indicate, if the team does not practice with full contact, how would truly awesome and tough guys ever develop? Good teams use special teams as way way to earn regular playing time so lack of depth would also impact STs. Only one of these things were in Read's control. Not a Read apologiest just stating that there may be some systemic problems that make our ST's unit look like a joke.
