I tried to go back into political, but I can't. Every time I read one of bnil's posts I want to run head first into a brick wall.

I don't even read 84s posts because that guy is so far off the deep end...

It's great when you have a forum where you can't converse with several of the members because they don't talk to you, they talk at you.

Their continued participation in every conversation makes HuskerBoard a pleasant place to enjoy conversations.

There are some people I keep on ignore because of the P&R forum. I don't mind different opinions or viewpoints, but I do mind blatant partisanship and ignorance. You have to at least be open to honest discussion and there are a few people who are incapable of doing so.

If you can't have civil political discussions then other topics probably aren't going to get much better.

I stay off the P&R forum because I disagree with most everything on there. Do I agree with what bnilhome says? Most of the time yes. Many of you remember my infamous stance on the MRI thread. I am a minority Republican on this board, and that's fine. I do disagree with the way he argues, though. Either try and see the other side, or stay off. I suck at seeing the other side, therefore I stay off.

The weird thing with cm is I agreed with a lot of his political opinions...

And then he made the claim that businesses didn't move their production to China to save money and that I'm a racist for thinking Chinese products shipped to the U.S. are for the most part subpar to American products.

Not to defend his brash response, but without really having any context to the conversation and only reading what's been quoted here, ZRod's question could easily be construed as pompous.
