That doesn't work. Trust me. But now I'm glad I didn't get the hammer after I requested. That was a while back though and I was struggling with a lot of other things

That's the thing. It's hard to remember, sometimes, that we're all real dudes (aside from some of the obvious trolls) that are living real lives, with real sh#t going on. I started posting here as a catharsis after I nearly lost my wife. I've gone through a bunch of life changes since I've been a member here, nearly ten years. Some have been for the better, some for the worse. I've been a good guy, an a$$, a jerk, a moron and a genius. Depends on the day, really.

I think Count is going through some life changes, too. Maybe not drastic, maybe OK, but stuff is different for him. He's got to sort his stuff out, too. Hopefully he'll be back but if he isn't, I think he'll be OK. We'll be OK, too.

We used to have some really great people who posted here regularly. A lot of them are gone - and I'm talking WAY before the Polo/tschu/RotoRiot purge of a couple years ago. Before True, before Count. They just moved on. The place changed, it was different, but it's still pretty good.

I remember when Mavric was a noob. I remember when Decked started out, when speed was a young pup, when Bye Bye Big XII was finding his voice here. Now they're some of the most prolific posters here, and they're great. That goes for Moriaine, zoogs, Fru, hell, Matty's gonna be running this show some day and he'll be fine.

If you told Vince from Shamwow, Dundermifflinite and Fro Daddy that I'd be a Mod running this place for five years when I first joined they'd have laughed in your face. But I turned out OK, and this place survived my reign of terror.

We all go through stuff. We all change. In the end, generally speaking, Husker fans are true and honest and good people. We keep getting that kind of person on this site, we'll be fine.

While I don't post as often as many of you, I've been around here a long time. It has changed a lot, but I think the negativity of the board reflects the negativity of the country.

I'm hoping DONU starts winning again so we don't have so much of it around here.

Wow, some great memberberries in this thread I just stumbled on. AtBone, I know exactly what you mean about those guys in their Recruiting section. They were big when I first arrived here. That was back when I was an impressionable young pup, and the crootin' forum was the main draw for me. Sad to see those guys moslty gone now. I see PC is still slinking around in the shadows though.

Can someone refresh my memory? It's not the best. I'm pretty sure I've been told before, but what did EZ-E do to finally get the boot? He was a great poster for a while. I feel like it was something less exciting than one would expect. Like a slow descent into douchedom or something.

From there, I branched out into the Football and P&R forums, as well as a lot of what else the board has to offer. It's a great place for Husker fans, even if we've got to thin the herd and lose some good ones now and again.

Shame to see Count go. I was the first to reply to the post in question and just left a wasted emoticon thinking the sauce had gotten the best of him leading up to kickoff. Didn't see the ban hammer coming, but I never do. Sounds like his behavior cultivated in him punching his own ticket.

I'm happy to hear he's at peace with it though. Hope he gets things figured out with what he's got through and winds up back in some form someday if he so chooses.

Lastly, all are welcome in P&R! I've enjoyed getting BRI in there for some different perespecitve even if he is sometime less up on news as he said, and would invite Redux or anybody else wondering about a place to get up,to speed or shoot the breeze in there. It doesn't have to be all tense, uncomfortable stuff a short political chat usually is. We're by and large pretty tolerant towards most views as long as you post in good faith and are open to gneuine conversation. It's true that there are less Trump supporters in there than non-supporters, but that's just reflective of the large chunk of the country he's yet own over. You'll do well in there if you're just polite and not a troll. Count's opinion wasn't what got him banned - it was the oddly hostile wya he lashed out in that last post.
