The Bruce Reed firing suprised no one, but Riley choosing to let Banker go actually surprises me. I thought he would give Banker one more season.

Let this be proof that Coach Riley is not messing around at all.

I will say I will miss Coach Banker's interviews. The man so reminded me of Coach Charlie McBride and his personality. Truly best wishes to Coach Banker in whatever he chooses to do next. He is a good man.

Like it has been mentioned before I think that guy genuinely loves Virginia Tech, especially since he survived a head coaching change. Also does he have any sort of relationship with Mike Riley to where he would think of coming to work for Riley?

Sad thing, and a reason these 2 are probably moving on, is bc it will not affect recruiting at all this year. Neither of these guys have landed anyone this class. Poor recruiters. Please hire Tracy Claeys.

Just my current dream DC hire. Maybe there is enough feelings of being spurned by Tech hiring someone else that we could kick the tires.
