*** 2017 Recruiting ***

Any 6'2 or taller receiver out there that we can land? A grad transfer at this position is entirely likely buy I would not like a JuCo kid unless he has top notch skills and is ready to go this fall.
i truly think we are fine taking the 3 we did is ok. guys who have been here Stanley, DPE, JD Spielman, keyan Williams, the 3 walkons that are legit, gabe rahn, brian riemers, brady pelzer, and then you add Tyjon Lindsey, Keyshawn, And Mcquitty to the mix and i think were fine. rafdal the tight end is also basically a 6'7 230 reciever we can flex out in the shotgun.

Clouse on the radio asked yes or no to landing recruits. He said. Sarrell no

Calvin yes

Darnay yes

Filaga no

Greg johnson no

Lewis yes

Lenior yes

FYI...if this happens and nothing else would change with other programs, this would bump us to the #12 class.
That would be awesome.

However, I think it's unlikely. I (unfortunately) agree with his "no"s. I think we get Calvin, could get Lewis and maybe have a better shot with Lenior than we might think. But I don't think we get Darnay (in case you didn't notice).
Like I said, not very likely. He was 0-4 on the guys he said we'd get.

Yes, I thought that as well.

But it's a different kind of average. His average of 21 is the actual numerical average of the other four classes as a whole. The 247 Composite would be averaging the players then adding.

Final B1G ranks (247C).

23 Nebraska - 20 players 0 5* / 5 4* / 15 3*

40 Wisconsin - 22 players 0/2/14

41 Iowa - 22 players 1/1/17

44 Illinois - 25 players 0/0/24

48 Northwestern - 19 players 0/1/18

57 Minnesota - 26 players 0/0/25

69 Purdue - 21 players 0/0/18

2 Ohio St - 21 players 5/14/2

5 Michigan - 30 players 2/19/8

15 Penn St - 21 players 0/11/10

18 Maryland - 30 players 0/9/20

34 Michigan St - 23 players 0/4/16

42 Rutgers - 26 players 0/3/21

61 Indiana - 23 players 0/0/22

Grad Transfer watch- Jeff Badet from Kentucky. He was their leading receiver it sounds like last year but wants a more pass heavy offense. Was stated elsewhere that Keith just started following him on Twitter. Not much to go on, but if we want an instant impact guy and more depth, I'd say go for him.

I thought there was a Big 10 limit on players, how does Maryland & Michigan get 30?
I thought I had read somewhere that the Big 10 limit was 25 and that schools are able to oversign by 3. That would push the total to 28 per class without back counting early enrollees. That is assuming my numbers are correct.
