Fightin' Erstad's at Cal State Bakersfield

I'm beginning to wonder if Erstad is right for this job. His success as a player is unquestionably great. But that hasn't translated to him being overly successful as a coach. I'm thinking Osborne missed the mark again on a HC hire.

I've really wanted him to work out and yes we lost some good bats but unless we get it turned around Big Ten season could get long

These are really the same issues we've dealt with for the past two years now, and unless there are some seismic changes in the way the coaches approach this team, we'll have another subpar season.

And unless Erstad is able to win, place, or show in the B1G and make some damage in the NCAA Tourney this season, we need to put some serious money behind a search for a new head coach. Remember, we're one of the few schools where Baseball either is revenue neutral or makes money, and have one of the best venues in the nation for watching a game. Facilities and training aren't an issue--it's recruiting and coaching at this point.

Exactly and it's not like he has been recruiting subpar. He is getting talent just need to put it all together...

yep. if attendance numbers stay up (which they will) then he will be back next year. they keep that half-wit Miles around and Erstad's teams look like world beaters compared to the s-storm that is nebraska basketball.

We have an AD who has no balls - Erstad will be here until he dies (horrible coach) but he will be here.
