I don't see an explicit counter right now.  Does it show you "x, y, z and 1 other person liked it or something like that?  Gives you a pretty good idea.

Also, can you click on the pencil to "Edit Reactions"?  It shows a number there.

 
I'm going to try to do some more checking on this but apparently general members can't see the number of likes on a post.

Do we want to turn it on so that everyone can see who is liking a post?

 
Looks like there is a Topics box on the main page and birthdays are back.  Not sure if someone added those or they just showed up as the backgroud processes are running.

Although the Topics box looks to be the most recent topics posted to as opposed to it used to be the most recent topics created. 

 
That was me playing around with the "Manage Blocks" (the '>' that's visible to admins on the left side of the page). Feel free to adjust as you see fit. The topics one was also the only similar one I saw. The description is that this is a topic feed based on 'custom sort and order options', but I haven't looked into how to edit those options.

 
Wow! I'm dumb.

Turns out you can click "Edit" from this interface on any of these blocks and edit options. So I've changed the topic stuff to sort by "Start Date", and edited the # of status updates displayed to 10. This is really cool :thumbs

I saw those edit buttons in the Support section tutorials of IP board but I'm not seeing them here.  Are you just looking on the main page or what am I missing?

 
That shouldn't be the case. I can't find any difference between our membership groups in the ACP and no restrictions are in place for you. "Edit side bar" is something that is enabled for both admins and mods. I don't have time anymore today, but if you can dig around and find a solution please do and feel free to rectify whatever is causing you to not be able to do this :-)

I also turned on the delete attachments option (unrelatedly).

I had kind of noticed that but apparently hadn't processed it enough to say "I wonder what happens if I click on that?"

GSG or someone had commented that it was too white so I thought perhaps a little contrast would be easy on the eyes.

I've been a little reluctant to click on some things because I don't want to screw it up
