I actually keep becoming more reckless and liberal as I get older. Because I keep meeting new sorts of people who shatter my paradigms of what is and isn't right. And because I keep learning how amazing and awesome life can be if you just decide to live it and put yourself out there.
That's mostly unrelated to my interactions on HB, though, I think. I've always had a bit of an attitude problem thinking I'm more intelligent/informed/whatever than certain types of people I disagree with or think are wrong. Hopefully I'm better tomorrow than I was today. What's really interesting, though, in regards to Huskerboard, is that I'm on the complete other side of the fence on most things I debate about on here.
People on this board have literally seen me go from being a very zealous evangelical conservative fundamentalist Christian who was anti-LGBTQ, had some subconsciously racist ideas about the world, so on and so forth, to the person that I am today. Five years or so ago I would have been an #AllLivesMatter kind of guy. That's crazy to think about.
